I finished a new small sculpture piece today. Really, really happy with it too. I have been thinking if it needed a base or not and been leaning towards using one but couldn't think of what would be the perfect thing. Well today I realized that using a tumbled marble piece for the base would work out great.
The piece measures 18 inches high, 6.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. It is constructed of 2 by 4 lumber, large bolts and washers, heavy duty electrical ground wire, found wood from the beach and tumbled marble.
I hope you like it as much as I do.

Valentine's Day Vase
I created a Valentine's Day vase using materials I purchased at home depot. I used a 2 by 4 for the base and a 1 by 3 for the back, got those in the lumber dept. Then went to the plumping dept and picked up a 1 inch by 8 inch connector with a cap. I already had some really thick grounding copper wire at home. So then I cut the wood and assembled the vase, painted it and attached the wire to hold the vase part. I made sure the cap was on water tight and there you have it. Its nice that it can be either a table top vase or you can hang it on the wall.
